Saturday night worship is back on! We are meeting every Saturday night at Golden Gate park. Our new format is picnic style. We are still sharing pizza and the Word of God.

Our city is downright mean. So says the National Law Center on Homelessness and Poverty in a new report called "Homes Not Handcuffs" that tracks the criminalization of homeless people in 273 cities nationwide. Read more SF Chronicle:

07-14-09 Freedom In Christ Board Meeting

On July 14, FIC officially held its first Board of Directors meeting. Multiple items of business were addressed during the meeting: Officers and board roles were nominated and elected; Grant informed the board about FIC’s current status and pertinent updates; legal council was approved; and the board examined and made amendments to the current bylaws, which frame the operation and governance of FIC both now and into the future. Critical issues in the Bylaws were addressed, including removal of officers, budget, release of funds, monetary contributions.

After thoughtfully considering our options and discussing the matter with wise counsel, we have discerned that the Lord is calling us into a season of prayer in order to seek God’s heart for the direction of Freedom In Christ.
